I’ve owned PR in the past. I had to sell it because the stock price kept going down. It’s 4.2% yield just isn’t that impressive, especially when there are capital losses. The energy sector is the worst sector so far this year, and that affects the drillers, the pipelines, and all aspects of the oil and gas business. All those statistics about free cash flow and payout ratios mean very little to me. What’s important is the stock price and the dividend and, while that latter may be very safe (I also guessed it got an “A” safety rating), it just doesn’t impress me much at 4.2%. Just my opinion.
