I was told that personal advice could not be given.

The IRA gets a cut on the dividends in ‘income’ taxes at the end of the year. A bigger story would be to get the ‘income’ tax repealed on money that was invested to make money? When you opened your brokerage account, they had you sign a W-2 (income tax) form. What kind of government would tax you when you put your dividend money into an investment in our economy to grow our economy? Supposedly as ‘earned’ income. In 1918, the Fed and the IRS were formed simultaneously. The Federal government has plans for your dividend money.
